With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I have been thinking alot about chocolate!
I have always loved chocolate. Chocolate chip cookies, brownies, hot chocolate, you name it.
If it had chocolate in it, I was in:-)
One of my most favorite things on my journey to a more whole foods diet has been learning how to replace “junk food” full of yucky ingredients for nourishing whole food replacements that are so much more tastier without any of the guilt or “junk food” hangovers.
If you’re like me and love your chocolate, but not sure where to start in finding delicious better for your treats, then check out the recipes below. These are some of my “go-tos” when my chocolate cravings set in. I can honestly say, they never disappoint.
Try them out, adapt them to your preferences, and let me know what you think!
Chocolate Avocado Dip
¼ cup of raw honey ( can play with less or more depending on your preferred sweetness)
¼ cup of raw cacao powder (again, you can experiment with a little less or more depending on your desired consistency.
About ¼ tsp of vanilla
A pinch of sea salt
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
Put in a blender and mix to smooth. Eat as is or serve with assorted fruits like berries, apples, and bananas.
So there you go! Go ahead and indulge just a little. Enjoy!
